The company was founded in 2012 by Dr. Bevan Holcombe and Richard Romanowski. The Elevare Group, which includes Elevare Energy and its sister company Planet Ark Power, currently employ over 32 professionals. The Elevare Group has over 25 electrical and civil engineers on staff, a national sales team and a national installation capability with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Elevare technology has been developed in conjunction with Central Queensland University (CQU) and Griffith University over the past 4 years.

Dr Bevan Holcombe
Bevan was a senior utility engineer at Energex for over 30 years where he led a number of R&D projects and managed a number of units across the organisation (e.g. IT Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Network Strategy and Network Performance Reporting) to attain broad technical and commercial experience of the industry. Bevan is a seed capital founding investor in the company and oversees engineering at Planet Ark Power and its sister company Elevare Energy.
Richard is Executive Director of Elevare. Richard has over 10 years’ experience in both running and investing in businesses in the Australian renewable energy and power electronics sectors. In the past Richard has run his own management consulting business as well as having senior executive experience in various organisations. Richard is passionate about green, clean technology and applies his experience to helping businesses profit from it.
David holds both a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons, Elec) and a Masters of Business Administration and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland. He has over thirty years’ experience in the electricity distribution industry and most recently has consulted to the government and renewable sector in Australia. His utility experience includes engineering design, SCADA, network operations, project management and accountability for an AUD 1 billion infrastructure program. David has previously consulted to the electricity industry in Indonesia and Vietnam.
David is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), has previously served on the Australian CIGRE C2 Committee and was a member of the International Electricity Infrastructure Assurance Forum.

as part of a $1 M project to demonstrate Smart Batteries in commercial buildings to reduce electricity demand charges
